"Ant Agony"

Films: It Happened at Lakewood Manor (1977)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of average ants.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: The good news is that these ants are normal size in comparison to previous specimens here. The bad news is that they come in the millions, they're harder to squish in one go, and they're somehow deadlier.

History: Next to the Lakewood hotel, a nest of ants was unearthed during construction. But these were ants of the hyper-venomous sort, capable of downing a man with enough forces in less than an hour. No one got the message, so when a family promised to turn the hotel into a casino, they realized that they couldn't gamble on their chances of surviving to these damn ants.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, the survivors decide not to move at all so that they don't antagonize the ants. This gives the authorities enough time to come over, quarantine the place, and free the people. The ants have no chance of surviving now.

Powers/Abilities: Incredibly deadly venom stingers, resilience to insecticide.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Small? Perhaps. But these critters kill you in numbers, of which there are near-infinite. That scene with the boy covered in them was NOT okay at all.

Trivia: -The most dangerous ant of them all is the Australian Bulldog Ant, which not only stings, but uses its huge jaws to cling onto its target so that it cannot be removed so easily.

-This film was also known as "Ants!" and "Panic at Lakewood Manor".
